The Spark of Inspiration
In the early days, Allan spent a lot of time at the local bookies, honing his ability to pick winners. One day, a seasoned bettor noticed his success and introduced Allan to a clever, value-driven method for tipping. This chance meeting turned into a valuable mentorship, where Allan learned how to gain an edge on the market and spot opportunities others missed. This experience laid the foundation for Allan's own betting strategies, which would later evolve into the expert tips shared through Tipster Master.
Early 1980s
A Cruical Lesson:
The Power of Long Shots
In another betting shop, Allan met a local bettor who placed a bet on a long-shot horse. Allan didn’t understand why, but the bettor explained that insider knowledge played a key role. This taught Allan not to dismiss long-shot horses just because of their odds. He learned to analyze a horse’s race history and placement to uncover hidden potential, which later became a key part of his tipping methodology.
Mid 1980s
Creating a Winning System
Allan later developed a computer program that required manual input of race details. He entered it into a prestigious horse racing software competition that lasted six months. Remarkably, Allan’s program was the only one to make a profit, achieving a solid +14% profit after tax—a great result at the time.
